This project was designed for patients in 2 long stay wards, ward East 3A and the Bone Marrow Transplant unit at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. Many of the patients in these wards are in-patients for months and are often in isolation due to their reduced immune systems.Although they are sometimes very ill, most have periods where they are relatively well and bored.The patients who wanted to take part had their silhouettes outlined onto a canvas, and they were given a starting kit of various collage materials, and asked use their canvas as they wanted.
